From a car collector or semi collector viewpoint there is no inherant 'value' in the key, unless the Z is a year model that came with one originally. And even then, it just has 'value' in terms of 'completeness' of the vehicle package. Of course that is assuming the vehicle is either stock or the mods are ones that are easily restorable to stock form. For example, I have all the original keys, window sticker, sales literature and owners manual. I also have a shop manual that covers the NA only, which I understand is unusual. So, if my car was something someone wanted, those items would be nice 'extras' for sure.
